Abstract	The paper explores the potential of AI in risk management in the healthcare industry in smart cities and presents a future vision of AI-assisted risk management in healthcare, its benefits and challenges, and its role at the application infrastructure level. The findings of the paper state that the integration of AI in healthcare has various academic developments, including disease detection, patient health prediction, and hospital readmissions. In smart cities, AI is used to improve the quality of life and municipal infrastructure. The future of AI in healthcare industries of smart cities is promising, with opportunities for medical device manufacturers, physicians, hospitals, and patients. The paper concludes that further research is necessary to address ethical concerns and integrate AI-assisted risk management systems into the wider healthcare system to improve service delivery and reduce costs. © 2023 IEEE.
