Abstract Shortly, the IoT with the combination of IoMT will interact with machines and implement real-time interferences, which will deeply change the way healthcare is delivered, and is affordable and trustworthy. Currently, telemedicine frameworks connect patients with medical specialists or attendants using features including live talk, video conferencing, or regular telephone calls. A vast amount of use of artificial intelligence (AI) has been recorded in medical fields. AI is sometimes also known as man-made intelligence. It has resulted in a growing number of systems being integrated with AI. Clinical expertise will benefit from an image-based AI with high accuracy, enabling them to make the right decisions and diagnose their patients and deliver medical aids properly and timely. Even when a less experienced practitioner diagnoses the patient, it is still possible to get accurate results. In addition, patients’ involvement in decision-making will boost compliance with healthcare services. With sensors, actuators, and communication protocol networks, the Internet of Things encompasses smart grids, smart homes, intelligent logistics, and smart towns. IoT integrates data analytics and sensors embedded in machines to offer various real-time solutions. An Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) network consists of a network of connected devices that collect vital data in real time. There are many applications of AI and IoMT such as Electrocardiogram Monitoring (ECG), Glucose Level Detection, Oxygen Saturation Monitoring, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Mental Well-Being, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Monitoring, Wheelchair Management, Smart City & Healthcare Services, and many more available. © 2024 selection and editorial matter, Agbotiname Lucky Imoize, Valentina Emilia Balas, Vijender Kumar Solanki, Cheng-Chi Lee, Mohammad S.
