Abstract In this study, we explain all the technology used in Internet of things, Information and Communication Technology and Networking and these could be deployed to make a city smart which is beyond the person's imagination. Smart city is using several techniques to manage all type of waste that makes the city clean and sustainable. Nowadays, we are concerned about the use of I.T. in smart a city. With the smart city, various types of garbage management are being used. The role of information technology involved within several techniques, i.e. IoT, ICT, and Networking. With the help of these techniques, we make the city smart. Waste management is the major problem in the current scenario to responsible for the disease of living persons. Internet of things is just like something which is not exactly a general-function computer, whereas a smart object that is coherent to the Internet. Information and Communication Technology is a consequent term for information technology (IT) that emphases the aspect of unified communications (Nonreal time + Real-Time) and the completion of telecommunications. With this study, we have explained the Geospatial technique with finite space and lots of challenges. Role of a smart light solution to save energy is also described. We have also elucidated policies implementation to make the strategies for the smart city. We enunciated advanced communication technology over the voice unified communication in detailed. The main purpose of our study is to enumerate the present and future scope of solid waste management of the Indian perspective. © 2022 IEEE.
