Abstract A dustbin is a garbage receptacle constructed of metal, plastic, or any other hard-to-store waste material that is used for temporarily keeping trash. Smart containers help to provide. The smart bin is suitable for high-traffic areas such as campuses, theme parks, airports, train stations, and shopping malls. They help to keep the environment clean by storing in a variety of renewable and non-renewable materials. Smart dustbin, as its name suggests, functions intelligently or can be described as an automatic dustbin. It works by using a servo motor to open the trashcan automatically when you walk in front of it. As a result, some sensors are in use to detect the object in front of the trash can. This undertaking the smart waste dustbin system is an ingenious device that will aid in the clean-up of our towns. Although dustbins are supplied in many metropolitan areas for people to use, they are not properly maintained, which is a major factor in environmental pollution and is degrading our environment day by day, resulting in serious unfavorable impacts for mankind. The garbage used to be collected manually in the conventional system versus automated system were presented through this proposed work. As a result, time that has been consumed in manual conventional system is comparatively more. This proposed system will allow them to save time and effort in a more efficient manner. Nowadays, automation is the most desired characteristic. Smart dustbins are the most appropriate solution for this. It will aid in the development of a green and smart city. To do so, we'll need to create an autonomous smart dustbin that can first recognize the garbage bin’s current state. They will be able to empty the container right away.
