Abstract The novel 2019 Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was discovered as a novel disease pneumonia in the city of Wuhan, China at the end of 2019. Now, it becomes a Coronavirus outbreak around the world, the number of infected people and deaths are increasing rapidly every day according to the updated reports of the World Health Organization (WHO) .The expanding of this coronavirus that infected people is highly rise because most of them do not relate the common symptom of this virus is fever or high body temperature. Because of the expanding keep increasing quickly, currently, infrared thermometers are being used everywhere to check the body temperature in places with large number of people. But this process is not really efficient even it might cause the spread of the coronavirus from the infectious people to the person who does the screening process. Therefore, applications, architecture, and technology systems need to be improved for quick and timely enforcement of rules, guidelines and government orders to contain such future outbreaks. The aim of this study is to design a system that has capability to diagnose COVID-19 earlier and to improve its treatment by applying medical technology, with less human interactions using IoT technology and develop how smart city networks should contribute to the improvement of standardization protocols for increased data sharing in the event of outbreaks or disasters. © 2021 ACM.
