Abstract This study aims to investigate the adoption behavior of artificial intelligence applications in the context of Pakistan by developing an extended model of technology acceptance incorporate behavioral beliefs (perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use). Further, the influence of the individualism/collectivism (IND) cultural dimension is investigated using the moderating framework. A cross-sectional survey method was used to collect data sample from 328 individuals in Pakistan. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was employed to examine the data. The findings confirmed the hypothesized associations and indicated that the proposed model provided a satisfactory fit to the data. The findings also revealed that cultural factors moderated the strength of these prospective relationships. Non-Western cultural settings can benefit from this research. The study offers several theoretical and practical implications. © 2023 IEEE.
