Abstract The Internet of Things era has changed modern society and made everything robust and reliable. The idea of a fully functioning smart city is now becoming a reality. The need for good parking infrastructure increases as the vehicle population increases drastically. Automated smart car parking systems are on the rise as they are easy to set up and require minimum human interference. What makes smart parking different from traditional parking systems? The smart parking system has features like real-time monitoring and route navigation systems that are not available in conventional parking systems.
