Abstract In recent years, the Casablanca- Settat region has initiated a transformative journey by integrating emerging technologies into its territorial management. This study examines the impact of innovations like artificial intelligence, big data, and smart city initiatives on local governance and development. Grounded in an interpretivist framework, the research employs semi- structured interviews with municipal officials, project coordinators, and representatives from research institutions and NGOs. Findings highlight that while these technologies enhance resource management, citizen engagement, and service delivery, challenges persist, including infrastructure limitations, data security concerns, and resistance to change. Additionally, the potential of these technologies to drive economic and social advancement in the region is underscored. The study concludes with strategic recommendations to harness technological innovations for sustainable and inclusive development in Casablanca- Settat, offering valuable insights for policymakers and future research. © 2025 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
