Abstract	The article outlines the author's proposal for sustainable development in Russian regions, focusing on economic priorities in the context of smart cities and green economy integration. The vision highlights the need for addressing new challenges to ensure ecological and sustainable urban development across Russian territories. Drawing from international examples, the authors pinpoint leading nations and establish key indicators for evaluating sustainable development in regions, emphasizing the significant role of advancing a green economy within smart city frameworks.
