Abstract Even though the market share of electric vehicles (EVs) has risen steadily over the years, its success in terms of mass adaptation highly depends on the availability of charging infrastructure and eliminating “range anxiety”. This chapter focuses on eliminating these bottlenecks by introducing a fast charging wireless system, which can provide a convenient and a safe way of charging EVs. The charging infrastructure is powered by distributed solar panels, an approach that works well with a “Smart City” infrastructure plan. © Gulf Research Centre Cambridge 2019.
