Abstract The use of Internet of Things technologies (IoT) has shown great potential in sensor monitoring. Sensors can be connected to share information over the internet, which has had a positive impact on several applications, such as transportation, smart cities, and electrification. This work focuses on developing a monitoring system that uses IoT technologies to transmit sensor data to the cloud. The potential of this system is demonstrated through soil temperature profile measurement, where instrumentation circuits are implemented to perform the required measurements and then transmit the data to the cloud using IoT platforms. Finally, the measures are organized in a database remotely managed by a user interface. © 2024 IEEE.
