Abstract The Internet of Things is a game-changing innovation that will change the face of computing and communication forever. The Internet of Agricultural Things (IoAT) is now being used in each sector, from smart houses to smart traffic control to smart cities. The Internet of Things has a wide range of potential applications and can be used in any industry. In this paper, we will discuss how the IoAT can be used in farming. The Internet of Things allows for more efficient farm administration, resource management, economically viable farming, increased yields and harvest yields, Field Surveillance, outdoor observation, etc. The suggested model makes use of a number of Internet of Things sensors, including ones that measure climate conditions, soil acidity, wetness in the soil, moisture in the air, volume of water, and so on. In this research, we examined the conventional farming practices of modern farmers and the issues they confront, and we went to poly homes to learn about cutting-edge farming innovations. The proposed concept is a straightforward architecture of Internet of Things sensors that report data over WiFi to a central server, which then processes the data and takes appropriate action. © 2023 IEEE.
