Abstract The smart city's spatio-temporal big data platform plays a crucial role in the construction of Digital China and serves as an effective means to enhance government public services and improve people's livelihoods. With the increasing prominence of spatio-temporal big data platforms in smart cities, the efficient management of big data and its utilization to enhance work efficiency have become significant concerns. This paper takes Pingdu City as a case study and leverages advanced technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and the Internet of Things. The platform integrates fundamental spatial-temporal data, thematic public datasets, and additional relevant data collections. It establishes a dedicated data center. Tailored to the specific requirements of Pingdu City, it develops a Smart City Spatial-Temporal Big Data Platform. This enhances the city's ability to manage and leverage its data intelligently, thereby elevating urban management and service efficiency. This initiative significantly enhances the city's operational management capabilities. © 2024 ACM.
