Abstract This paper explores the convergence of the Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, and green healthcare, presenting a comprehensive framework for leveraging loT technology to create sustainable and efficient healthcare systems. By employing loT-enabled solutions, such as remote patient monitoring, energy management, waste management, and asset tracking, healthcare facilities in smart cities can significantly reduce their carbon footprint while improving patient care. The paper examines various case studies and successful implementations to highlight the potential benefits, challenges, and best practices in deploying loT-driven green healthcare initiatives in smart cities. Ultimately, this paper emphasizes the transformative power of loT in enabling environmentally friendly healthcare systems within the context of smart cities, thereby paving the way for a greener and healthier future. © 2023 IEEE.
