Abstract This paper presents an IoT -based smart garbage bin system that utilizes Wi-Fi communication technology to optimize the garbage collection process. The system provides real-time data on bin status, optimizes collection routes, and enables users to report complaints through the app. The architecture includes a user dashboard, admin dashboard, and mobile app, with the goal of improving efficiency and cleanliness. The system comprises smart bins with sensors, a Wi-Fi gateway, and a cloud platform for data processing. Future work involves integrating AI algorithms for further optimization. © 2023 IEEE.
