Abstract Utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, the study proposes a novel, unified strategy for increasing the sustainability of smart cities. The ability of IoT technology to integrate green energy management and environmental monitoring systems enables greater resource efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and sustainable urban development. IoT -enabled sensor networks may collect real-time data on energy consumption, renewable energy generation, and environmental conditions for the proposed work. There have been significant advancements in energy efficiency, carbon emission reduction, and ecological consciousness. The proposed work exemplifies the revolutionary potential of IoT integration as a catalyst for intelligent city innovation to aid legislators, urban planners, and technologists in constructing more sustainable and eco-conscious urban environments. © 2023 IEEE.
