Abstract The management of e-waste is a major environmental challenge that requires innovative and sustainable solutions. This paper proposed an implementation of a solution that leverages LoRa, IoT, Circular Economy, smart contracts and Blockchain technologies to manage the e-waste generated in a smart city. The proposed solution consists of a network of IoT sensors that will monitor e-waste bins in the city and transmit data to a central platform. The data collected will be analyzed to determine the optimal time for collecting and transporting the e-waste. Smart contracts will be used to manage the e-waste collection and transportation process, while the use of Blockchain technology will ensure that the e-waste is disposed of in an environmentally sustainable manner. The proposed implementation will help to reduce the amount of e-waste in the city and promote a circular economy by encouraging the reuse and recycling of e-waste materials. © 2023 Seventh Sense Research Group.
