Abstract With the advancement of the smart city, artificial intelligence and data mining technologies promote location-based big data-driven services, bring new business models to society, and greatly improve people's lives. Location-based big data-driven services aim to integrate resources in the city more efficiently through the collection, sharing, and analysis of location-based big data, thus forming services for urban citizens. Currently, location-based big data-driven services face some challenges. Firstly, the data-driven service process consists of a large amount of information (mainly user data), which raises consumer concerns about privacy data leakage and abuse. Secondly, location-based big data-driven services urgently need a more trustworthy and transparent platform to promote cooperation among various entities in smart cities, establish a better relationship between service providers and customers, and promote continuous innovation of services. Blockchain technology is increasingly recognized as one of the potential solutions to the challenges of location-based big data-driven services. Therefore, this chapter aims to introduce the relevant applications and research progress of blockchain in the location-based big data-driven services through the literature review. This chapter first introduces the basic concepts of location-based big data-driven services and the background knowledge of blockchain. On this basis, this chapter mainly focuses on three scenarios: shared mobility service, electric vehicle charging service, and smart logistics, to analyze the application and related prospects of blockchain in these services. Finally, the chapter discusses the future trend of blockchain for location-based big data-driven services. © 2023 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
