Abstract	The article examines the most pressing problems in the implementation of smart technologies in the activities of the urban economy, the solution of which will contribute to the transformation of smart technologies into a strategically significant factor in the socio-economic development of cities. The authors investigate the possibilities of using the building information modeling system in urban real estate management. The article also discusses the advantages, specific features and problems of introducing building information modeling technology into smart cities. The ways of solving some problems of implementation are outlined. © 2022 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
