Abstract	As the BIM technology is broadly used and speedily developed, we are constantly moving towards a smart city, integrating mature GIS technology, and moving towards a broad road to a smart city. In this paper, the integration of BIM technology and GIS technology is realized based on the IFC standard and the Supermap platform, and then a smart system for urban emergency management is formed to combine the Internet and the Internet of Things. This system highly responds to the call of building a 'smart city', which provides a feasible scheme for improving the level of urban emergency management. © 2021 IEEE.
