Abstract IoT technology allows many devices to be connected, creating Smart cities (SCs). Because gadgets from different manufacturers are heterogeneous, control and interaction present problems. These devices generate truckloads of data, but only practical analysis can produce intelligent services. This paper presents a new service architecture: the AISIoT hybrid, which combines various IoT devices and provides them with intelligent services. It relies on semantic and AI technologies to integrate diverse devices. AI enables rapid data analysis and exact service supply decisions in varied settings. The paper shows how the AI-SIoT architecture is implemented in several use scenarios. The opportunities and constraints of AI-SIoT deployment in future Smart Cities are also examined. © 2024 IEEE.
