Abstract This paper investigates the integration of electric vehicle (EV) and photovoltaic (PV) technologies into the power grid, with an emphasis on their significance for the advancement of sustainable energy. It mitigates the grid stability challenges posed by PV intermittentness and EV charging demands, encompassing voltage and frequency fluctuations. The research presents a set of effective management strategies and an all-encompassing mathematical model for evaluating different stabilization methods. It emphasizes the importance of smart inverters, demand response programs, and energy storage in augmenting the resilience and adaptability of the grid. This study describes how the deployment of hybrid PV and EV systems can substantially increase the system's efficiency while maintaining a high level of network stability, thereby contributing to sustainable energy objectives. An included case study captures both scenarios, system stability with the presence of the grid and with the support of a diesel generator. © 2024 IEEE.
