Abstract	Internet of Things (IoT) allows the collection of large amounts of data that can be integrated into systems and used for development of smart cities in an efficient manner. This paper focuses on the application domain of urbanized IoT system. Application of urban IoT advanced communication technology is reviewed for its efficiency to support the smart city vision by providing services for administration of smart city as well as for ease of use of its citizens. A proposal of recommended architecture, technologies and devices are given to support a model of facilities that can be materialized to create a functional 'smart' city.
