Abstract The growing complexity of urban life has led to the emergence of the notion of “smart cities.” These pioneering urban areas are leading the way in terms of efficiency and sustainability, utilizing technology to enhance the overall standard of living. The integration of advanced IoT technology with wireless sensors is reasonable, as it serves as the basis for intelligent parking and transit systems. Real- time data analytics serves as the fundamental basis for intelligent transportation systems. With empowering communities to make decisions based on data, this trend reduces traffic and enhances the overall efficiency of transportation. The incorporation of wireless sensor technology with parking systems has led to a novel approach to urban mobility. This chapter examines the interaction between Highly Intelligent IoT and wireless sensor technologies in influencing the development of smart cities with a particular focus on intelligent and secure transportation and parking solutions. © 2025, IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
