Abstract	The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) into urban infrastructure has revolutionized the way cities operate and evolve. By enabling real-time data collection and seamless communication between devices, IoT offers innovative solutions for urban challenges such as traffic congestion, energy consumption, waste management, and public safety. Smart sensors, connected systems, and data analytics facilitate more efficient resource allocation, enhance the quality of urban services, and promote sustainability. This paper explores the transformative potential of IoT in shaping smart cities, focusing on its applications, benefits, and challenges. Emphasis is placed on case studies that illustrate how IoT technologies contribute to building resilient, adaptive, and intelligent urban environments.
