| Abstract |
In today's techno world, artificial intelligence (AI) has already marked its importance in every aspect of human life. The nonexplaining nature of AI makes it less useable in various fields especially in healthcare, smart cities, autonomous mobility, financial management, etc. Explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) is the next advancement in the field of AI where the humans can rely upon the decisions taken by the AI algorithm. Society 5.0 has the motto of building a super-smart society wherein humans can lead a very comfortable life in terms of smart governance, smart economy, smart transportation, smart healthcare, etc. The main goal of XAI is building trust among the users with advanced ML algorithms. So undoubtedly XAI can be used to build the components that are required for making a society to be a super-smart society. However, more surveys and comprehensive literature works are not done regarding the application of XAI in building Society 5.0.
