Efficient utilization and implementation of artificial intelligence (IA) can influence human life in managing their usefulness. Researchers and domain experts are pondering that in the long run, the influences and repercussions of AI. It can be invaluable and add value in an individual life to a large extent, and at the same time, it may limit human free will. Researchers are contemplating that by next decade, the AI system used by corporations is likely to execute ethnic decision-making and will help in developing Society 5.0. It can be associated with monetary growth in determining societal development in achieving better quality of life that people can enjoy in developing the society. The need for efficient utilization of AI in ethnic decision will entertain numerous requirements of individuals irrespective of language, age, sex, or the regions. The key utilization of AI in developing Society 5.0 was initially taken by a Japanese cabinet decision during the fifth Science and Technology summit, with an aim of financial regeneration through investments for tomorrow and maintaining sustainable growth policy in comprehending Society 5.0. Based on the Japanese plan, the purpose is to achieve enduring growth through incorporating the Industrial Revolution 4.0 paradigm by integrating technologies such as Big Data, IoT, robotics match, and mix of AI features. Mainly five strategic choices were proposed for Society 5.0, namely, healthy life and enhanced life expectancy, attainment of mobility solution, development of futuristic value chain, smart infrastructure, smart cities, and model town. Society 5.0 was initially announced by Japan and likely to follow the suit for the rest of the globe. The explainable AI and society 5.0, should not be confined only to Japan but should be spread to all those striving to sustain the development of society for the coming decades. However, Japan is facing some limitations and challenges such as aging masses, poor infrastructure growth, dwindling birth rate that led to overall decline in population, and so on. Japan can participate in promoting Society 5.0 by taking first steps and reaping the advantage of being first mover in establishing sustainable development. It can integrate the variety of systems by encouraging and supporting society in implementing digital revolution. The principal aim of conceptualization of Society 5.0 is to incorporate technologies such as AI, Big Data, IoT, IIoT, Cloud Computing, and so on. © 2024 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved. |
