Abstract	At present, the construction of smart cities is in full swing across the country. As a new generation of information and communication technology, big data technology plays a crucial role in the construction of smart cities. Based on the introduction of the concept and relationship between smart city and big data, it is found that there are some problems in the process of smart city construction and development, such as unclear top-level design, low information sharing degree, and shortage of big data professionals. At the same time, the big data technology is widely used in the field of city government, industries and people's livelihood, and put forward the wise should do well in the top floor in the course of the construction of urban design, sets up the concept of comprehensive planning, promote information sharing, information security, establish large data talent plan, the training of specialists in the field of data, for subsequent wisdom urban construction application and innovation to provide the reference data. © 2023 IEEE.
