Abstract	Recent breakthroughs in mobile computing, communication technology, and consumer electronics have modernized our cities and living environs. Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly evolving, resulting in substantial implications, possibilities, difficulties, and new research objectives in various sectors that are defining the future of smart industry and society. As a result, in this review article, we have discussed the role of researchers in the prediction of smart building and smart city resources, utilizing various learning models. In addition, the study also emphasized their accomplishments and the challenges they face in this field and based on our analysis, we have also come up with some findings. © 2023 IEEE.
