Abstract A smart city is an urban space that uses information and communication technologies (ICT) and other means to improve the quality of life, the efficiency of urban operations and services, and competitiveness, while ensuring that the needs of present and future generations are met in economic, social and environmental terms. The city of Casablanca occupies a prominent place at the national level, hence the state’s desire to integrate it into the global competition market between territories. This requires the need to integrate an appropriate territorial marketing approach. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG. 2019.
