Abstract	The transportation system has extended human movement system. Recent advancement of the embedded electronics system, communication, and control system have changed the transportation model to form a smart system. Further emergence of Industry 4.0, augments the Internet of Things(IoT) technologies to this model to form Internet of Vehicle(IoV). The intelligent vehicle system embedded with sensor infrastructure for sensing environment. This system applies for safe navigation, traffic management, and pollution control. The emergence of the Internet of Vehicle (IoV) has changed the paradigm of traditional transportation system augmenting intelligence, storage, communication, and learning capabilities. This paper presents a novel traffic management system using IoT and augmented reality. The enabling techniques have been compared with other methods in real-time. Further, the system is analyzed in the light of existing IoT infrastructure. © 2019 IEEE.
