Abstract Using encryption and machine learning to improve security is being considered by researchers. A novel technique for securing an IoT-enabled intelligent transportation system has been proposed. The transaction has been classified using a machine learning model. A machine learning model was trained using a dataset of filtered and unfiltered transaction data. During simulation, the intelligent transportation system classified routine transactions and attacks. There are two types of data transit discussed here: regular and attack and failure. Accuracy, f1-score, recall, and precision have been shown to have significant impact on accuracy of results. Cryptography and machine learning might be used to improve the security of an intelligent transportation system. © 2022 IEEE.
