All Smart city apps are made more secure and safe with the aid of the Internet of Things (IoT). In order to maintain this level, the following three components need continuous monitoring and control using Internet of Things (IoT) approaches. Leaks of gas, water, and fire may be detected by them. We provide a two-module system in this research; one module detects water, while the other detects gas leaks and fires. One potential part of the water module is the first module, which would use an ultrasonic device to measure the depth of the water in the tank and then "turn on"or "turn off"the motor depending on the amount of water in the above-or below-ground storage tank. To avoid a pipe explosion caused by an overflow, the water module instantly closes the solenoid gate the moment it senses a leak. In addition, after the issue is resolved, you will be able to utilise an Android app to restock the water. With the help of the SIM800C GSM component, which integrates data from detectors with GPS coordinates, the user or control unit may get a text message with all the relevant facts, including the exact position of the leak. The second module integrates gas leakage and fire detectors with an Arduino to control the whole system. Alarm systems may be fine-tuned based on the rates that smoke and gas detectors show. When the Aurdinomega2560 detects a rate that is greater than the reference rate that has been configured, the buzzer will sound an alarm until gas or fire is discovered. If the GSM gadget senses smoke or a gas leak, it will immediately notify the user via a frightening message. Rapid detection and recovery may be achieved in a multitude of contexts, such as homes, farms, workplaces, hospitals, warehouses, and more, by connecting all of these modules to the Internet of Things (IoT) platform. © 2024 Author(s). |
