Abstract Today in a lot of places in the world the Smart Cities take place, as a big Ecosystem that contain a lot of Smart Ecosystems, like: Smart Homes, Smart Factories, Smart health, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and others, the development of these Ecosystems or the Smart Cities in general is based on the development of the Internet of Things, in our research we focused on the Internet of Things Drone Network Ecosystem, that collect the environmental information, using an embedded sensing unite, that collect information in an analog signal that can be movement, humidity, voice, heat, or others, convert these information to a digital signal, process it locally and send it to the gateway using a specific Mobile Ad Hoc network, called the Unmanned Aerial vehicle Ad hoc Network to communicate the information to the right server located in the Internet for further processing. Our simulation scenario consists of studying the data routing exchanged between the different drones in movement using the DSR and AODV routing protocols. © 2020 The Authors.
