Abstract Hydro-informatics is generating information with computational models solved with evolutionary algorithms for optimal water management. With evolution of Machine Learning (ML), big data analysis, deep learning, Internet of Things IoT), hydro-informatics has vast scope of application of (Artificial Intelligence) AI) for mankind. As predicted that from smart industries to smart cities there is need a large number of communications enabled embedded devices which will be communicating with each other and to the cloud server, probably transforming IoT to Internet of Everything (IoE) in near future. For cities to be intelligent in addition to smart, IoT needs to be powered with AI that too with minimal computation power. Recent research in field of data science and AI shows that computational requirements for the purpose are reducing day by day. IoT enabled AI, termed as AIoT is the recent breakthrough in the technology. Security of devices & data is the most essential issue which should be addressed from time to time as the technology advances. Beside security, several other relevant areas of research are communication protocols, more reliable & cheaper IoT devices. IoT, AI, ML, Deep learning, Big data analysis has shown a big picture of hydro-informatics for benefits of mankind. In the near future, the rain predictions, water management, river flow, basin management, drainage and water supply management etc, all will be AI, IOT and ML dependent. This chapter presents a brief picture of application of AI IoT and ML to hydro-informatics for benefit of mankind. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
