| Abstract | Internet of Things (IoT) solutions are already available in many areas, including medicine or transport. They become more and more advanced, allowing them to perform increasingly complex tasks. Internet of Things devices are already used in smart factories, energy management systems, smart cities, and healthcare solutions. The concept of the Internet of Things means the ability to connect and exchange information between ordinary devices and ICT systems. The current solutions based on the IoT concept are used in the field of telemedicine. Various types of sensors can be used here, monitoring, for example, blood sugar level or pulse. In the case of elderly and disabled people, these may be sensors that track the vital signs and health behavior of patients at a distance, thanks to which these people can feel more freedom and a sense of self-sufficiency. The article presents the first stage of the developed system to track vital parameters in the form of heart rate and temperature, as well as a system informing about a possible fall of the patient. © 2021 IEEE. |
