| Abstract | Only 4 percent of the world's water resources are in India, despite the country having 16 percent of the global population. Due to population expansion, economic development, water consumption is increasing across the world. As a result, future generations will need to conserve water to avert water scarcity. Techniques for conserving water are few and far between. To mitigate this issue, proposed system is designed for smart cities which uses smart flow meter and ultrasonic sensor to assess how much water a person drinks and show that information to the user. The consumer receives a water usage warning message when it surpasses the limit and solenoid valve inside the meter will stop the flow of water. If a client needs to consume surplus water for whatever reason, they can send a text message command via the Global system for mobile communication (GSM)' module, which they can pay for and use. © 2023 IEEE. |
