Abstract	With the continuous development of modern information technology, big data and data analysis are widely used in related industries. To a certain extent, it also promotes the application of data analysis and information construction in the field of urban planning. Therefore, based on an overview of GIS technology, this paper provided an in-depth study of the application of GIS technology in the construction of Smart City. This paper experimented and explored both the layout and planning of public facilities and their three-dimensional visualization. It mainly analyzed the architecture of GIS in the construction of Smart City in terms of database, the development of integration, assistance in the production of economic-type indicator tables and the combination with intelligent technologies. The purpose of the study is to gain an in-depth understanding of the practicality and advantages of GIS in street data analysis and information construction, to make up for the shortcomings of traditional design methods, and to solve the problems that can occur with traditional design methods. In this way, the role of GIS can be given full play to, so as to improve the construction of Smart City. © 2022 ACM.
