Abstract A Smart City is defined as an urban area employing technology and data for enhanced performance, wellbeing, and sustainability. Smart City education is pivotal, requiring thorough analysis for a comprehensive understanding of its definition, progress, and impact. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is utilized in smart cities and could serve as a tool for in-depth literature reviews on Smart City education. This paper aims to conduct a comprehensive literature review, showcase AI as a comprehensive literature review tool, and evaluate AI reports. ChatGPT was used as the AI analyzer. The evaluation tool used is Word Clouds. Word Cloud comparisons of abstracts from 50 relevant publications are compared to Word Clouds on AIgenerated data from these 50 publications. The data set dates back to 2014. Results discuss the correlations and deviations between raw and AI data. The main topic seems to be that "learning" is the central theme in Smart City education no matter the interpretation source. Results show that AIgenerated comprehensive literature review reports could currently be considered only as additional input and not as a main conclusion. On a philosophical point, it would seem that AI is promoting itself as a solution of importance in its generated reports, which was not necessary based on the literature data set. However, AI can be considered an invaluable additional tool.
