Abstract In today’s world, the continuous rise in air and sound pollution has become a serious concern. Controlling and carefully monitoring the situation has become necessary in order to take the necessary actions to alleviate the situation. In the recent decade, the notion of smart city has evolved, necessitating the collection of more data about communities. The population of cities is growing, prompting the creation of new urban planning strategies to deal with the problem. This project proposes an IOT-based technique for monitoring a region’s air quality index, temperature and humidity levels, and noise intensity. The air quality index monitoring module, the temperature, the sound intensity detection module, the temperature and humidity sensing modules are the technologies used. Data is now collected via the Wi-Fi module in the ESP32, which is then sent to the Raspberry Pi using MQTT, achieving the goal of data analysis on a regular basis.
