| Abstract | The advancement in technology even though changed the mindset of certain people to be good citizens still, many hackers, thieves, and criminals in the world may destroy the citizens. People currently have challenges in public spaces like bus stations, malls, train stations, etc. due to threats brought on by nefarious acts like theft and kidnapping. A safe public space can be created, and people can go there without fear thanks to the Internet of Things and digital technology's rapid advancement. To address the problem of harmful activities, this research suggests a system that detects weapons and sends alarm notifications to nearby concerned authorized persons using Internet of Things components. This work provides a cloud-based approach to process and store films using fog computing to avoid processing glitches because of the constrained nature of IoT devices. In addition, the timestamped data is authenticated by using cryptographic protocols to provide validity for the data during future analysis if data is required for cyber forensics. © 2024 IEEE. |
