Abstract In an era marked by rapid urbanization, safeguarding the structural integrity of multi-storied buildings against disasters is of paramount importance. In the recent decade, it has been seen that improving people's quality of life and the safety of people's lives and resources also depend on unwanted disasters. The number of fire disasters has increased more than threefold across Bangladesh. For fire accidents, the country's social and economic environment is badly damaged. In this paper, an IoT-based automatic system is developed to minimize the risk of fire disasters and ensure the safety of people's lives and resources. A monitoring system is developed for the early detection of fire in a house or industrial area and based on the detection an alarm system is developed which can guide the people to evacuate from disaster areas. The system will also notify all the stakeholders of the rescue program with the detected location. It will reduce the loss during the disaster. © 2023 IEEE.
