| Abstract | Green Internet of Things involves interconnected devices with an internet connection, primarily focusing on reducing energy consumption. This plays a crucial role in developing sustainable smart cities. One of the major research concerns in long-term communication is to achieve efficient energy consumption and reliable connectivity among the users. To address the research issues, this research work presents the design and development of an advanced microstrip antenna optimized for Green Internet of Things applications. The antenna is designed with an operating frequency of 2.45 GHz with a relative permittivity of 2.2. The substrate thickness of 0.81mm helps to increase the coverage range of the communication band which leads to long-term communication. The proposed antenna operates efficiently in IoT networks, focusing on low power consumption, environmental sustainability, and reliable connectivity. Simulation results show that the proposed antenna provides effective results such as high directivity, high gain, and low power consumption. © 2024 IEEE. |
