Abstract Aiming at the weakness of short transmission distance and small coverage in the current freshwater ecological ranching monitoring system, a water quality monitoring system based on LoRa and NB-IoT technology is proposed. The system takes STM32F407VET6 as the main control chip and RS-485 communication as the interface of data interaction. The detailed design method of the control system is adviced. The experimental test shows that the application of LoRa and NB-iot technology can overcome the weakness of narrow monitoring range and low transmission efficiency of the existing monitoring system, and the system has the advantages of stability and reliability, and has a good prospect of popularization and application value. © 2022 IEEE.
