In this paper, we present the Combined Path data routing, a mobile sink distributed data dissemination protocol in Wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In contrast, in previous studies, a separate path is used to disseminate data packets that waste energy. In Combined Path Data Routing, first, Branching Points divides the combined path into sub-branches. Next, Diagonal Line (DL) is proposed to divide the high-tier (DL nodes) and low-tier nodes. Also, DL based opportunistic metric is proposed to disseminate the data packet to the sinks through multiple branches, which is energy efficient. Finally, we performed the simulation and compared with other approaches like Ring Routing. The results show that Combined Path Data routing outperforms the previous approaches and solves the hotspot problem. © 2020 ACM. |
