Abstract	With the development of BIM technology, how to integrate BIM technology into urban rail transit construction and popularize it, embody the advantages of BIM technology, speed up the informatization development process of the whole industry, and realize a smart metro in the new era is a problem to be solved. Under the background of technological revolution in construction industry, the application of BIM technology in municipal engineering has spawned new management methods. This paper expounds the big data features and management attributes of BIM from the basic concepts of BIM in rail transit and the problems it brings to design management, and the changes it brings to rail transit project design. Deepen the design, site planning, construction simulation, schedule management and cost management, etc., and put forward suggestions on BIM development in the field of urban rail transit, providing reference for BIM technology to play its value in the construction stage of urban rail transit. © 2021 ACM.
