Abstract In Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart schemes like smart cities, smart agriculture, smart health, etc., safe and efficient data sharing has been recognized as a challenge. These smart systems use a plethora of IoT gadgets, each of which generates copious amounts of information. It might be difficult to configure security measures on IoT their low memory and computing power. In this work, we current a new method of device identity management for blockchain-based Internet of Things systems, which offers dual protection for sensitive information. To begin, a minimal hub identification authentication mechanism based on encrypted identifiers. In order to tackle the weak bits issue in the key, this work provides a safe cybersecurity system that combines cryptography and authentication using elliptic curve Diffie– Hellman (ECDH). For the purpose of facilitating the flow of messages between IoT devices while maintaining their secrecy and authenticity via an insecure communication channel, this study explores three different integration solutions, proposing safe integration between authentication and encryption using ELCA. Second, an efficient blockchain application is used to supplement data storage by facilitating the exchange of data among many parties while also making that data immutable. Performance assessment results suggest that the prototype properly meets system requirements, and our first implementation demonstrates that our individuality organization technique can be applied in locations and our system can be successfully deployed on blockchain stages. © The Author(s).
