Abstract With the advancement in technologies in terms of sensors, various multimedia devices are used in intelligent vehicles, and people are gaining interest in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). A smart city development includes smart transportation and ITS plays an important role in it. Autonomous Vehicle is one of the significant inventions of this framework. Autonomous Vehicles (AV) technology focuses on the improvement of transportation in terms of developing a highly accurate model which reduces congestion costs, reduces road accidents, also minimizes climate change effects by reducing the usage of Carbon and using green energy. In this paper, the focus is made on two multimedia technologies for the improvement of autonomous vehicles which are: collision prevention and path prediction. Both of the technologies need close human-computer interacting skills to fulfill the AVs requirement. In conclusion, this paper discusses various approaches related to the selected technology. © 2024 IEEE.
