Abstract The exponential growth of pollution is a crisis that requires immediate attention. Both the environmental and physiological effects of pollution, such as global warming and weather variability, are significant. One of the largest problems the world is now dealing with is air pollution, which has a negative impact on human health by increasing the risk of respiratory, cardiovascular, and lung disorders. In order to take the proper action whenever necessary, the air quality must be continuously measured, examined, and monitored in real-time. We have developed a solution to address this issue that makes use of the IOT system to inform the user of the quantity of dangerous gases in the area and the air quality. Here, carbon monoxide (CO), temperature, carbon dioxide (CO2), humidity are all measured. On an IoT platform called ThingSpeak, the values for these variables are also shown as numbers and graphs. The buzzer sounds when the level of carbon dioxide crosses a predetermined threshold. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. All rights reserved.
