Abstract	Currently, Smart Cities use computational solutions that promote services to improve the quality of life of the entire population. However, these systems are often heterogeneous and designed in an isolated way that makes it challenging to integrate with each other. One of the ways to integrate systems that provide interoperability is the System-of-system concept. Communication among systems depends on mutual agreements made by intermediaries. It increases the cost, constrains collaboration, and distrusts shared data and services. Blockchain can fulfill these gaps and be a trusted decentralized controller entity based on a consensus mechanism among network participants. This Early-stage paper presents an initial doctoral research proposal on how to combine Blockchain with Systems-of-Systems concepts to provide trusted interoperability between Smart Cities systems. © 2021 ACM.
